Elko, NV

Well, we're officially on the road!

Here is our itinerary:

After packing Boo's car to the brim, we stopped by my sister's to drop off gifts for the kidlings, made a food pit stop (might be awhile before we have breakfast burritos again), shipped some stuff, then headed on the road a little before our goal of noon.

The drive was not super exciting... just up 80. It got more interesting near Trukee. There was snow on the trees and sides of the road coming up but once we hit Nevada, it slowed down a bit. Nevada, what a weird place.

We're staying at the ever classy "Gold Country Inn." Apparently when you walk into the lobby, it's all old people. Just a rumor though since I stayed in the car. The room is very festive with moose decorating the walls and curtains. I'll post pics when I get un-lazy. My favorite are the lamps. It smells like middle America here; at least it's clean. We even brought our (living) Christmas tree, it has lights and ornaments!

My phone is about to run out of battery and I doubt we'll be able to find a Verizon store before we hit Yellowstone so email me if you need to get a hold of me! Or call Boo's phone if you have his number.

Boo's collecting schwag and I'm listening to the Sharks game, so far leading the Rangers but I want to hit up the slot machines. I told Boo he should drop me off and come back in 3 hours. I'll probably be chain smoking with a plastic tub of quarters in my lap saying, "Just 10 more minutes! I'm about to hit it big!"
